CIDOTESTON 250MG AMP for thetreatment of male hormone and it isconsidered one of the drugs that are used as a hormonal treatment for males and females. It compensates men for the deficiency in the secretion of male hormones from the reproductive gland andtreats the delay of puberty for them and females use this drug in the treatment of transmissible breast cancer
Indications of the Cidoteston ampoules:
1- It is used with males as a replacement therapy for insufficient gonadal secretion, whether the cause is hereditary or acquired.
2- Treating male reproductive gland weakness and delayed puberty.
3- It works to treat metastatic breast cancer in women.
Dosage and method of administration for Cidoteston Ampoules:
1- The dosage depends on the duration of treatment, age, gender, diagnosis of the condition and the patient’s response to treatment.
2- The dose for men to treat the secretion of the gonad is between 50 to 400 mg for two to four weeks.
3- For the treatment of men with delayed puberty, the dose is from 50 to 200 mg every two to four weeks.
4- The dose for treating breast cancer in women ranges from 200 to 400 mg every 2 to 4 weeks.
Side effects of Cidoteston Ampoules:
1- This medicine may cause menopause or disturbances in their menstrual cycle, while suppressing the hormones of the reproductive gland.
2- This medicine may cause a low sperm count in men and enlarged breasts.
3- A change in liver function and a feeling of nausea.
4- A slight change in the blood picture.
5- An increase or decrease in sexual arousal.
6- Feeling a headache, frustration, anxiety and fear.
7- May lead to retention of sodium, water, calcium and potassium in the body.
Precautions and contraindications for Cidoteston ampoules:
1- Those who have prostate or breast cancer.
2- Pregnant women are prohibited from using this medicine because it may cause male fetuses to develop symptoms of male genitalia.
3- Those who are hypersensitive to the components of the drug must refrain from using it.
4- Do not use this medicine for intravenous injection.
5- Care must be taken when using it with children, because they may experience low sperm count or hepatotoxicity if taken in large doses.
6- Beware of using it in cases of breast cancer and monitoring calcium in the blood, because its excess indicates the presence of erosion in the patient’s bones, and at that time it must be stopped.
