ACTIVE-INGREDIENT OF BETADERM
each 100 gram contains : betamethasone ( as valerate ) 0.1 gm .
INDICATION OF BETADERM
These include the following : – atopic dermatitis ( including infantile atopic dermatitis ) . seborrhoeic -eczema including atopic , infantile , and discoid eczemas . – prurigo nodularis . – psoriasis ( excluding widerspread plaque psoriasis . – neurodermatoses including lichen simplex , lichen planus . Seborrhoeic dermatitis . – contact sensitivity reactions . – discoid tupus erythematosus . – an adjunct to systemic steroid therapy in generalized erythroderma . – insect bite reactions . prickly heat . dermatitis .- irritant or allergic contact dermatitis . – nummulaR DERMATITIS ( DISCOID ECZEMA ) . PRURIGO NODULARIS – psoriasis ( excluding widespread plaque psoriasis ) . lichen simplex chronicus ( neurodermatitis ) and lichen planus . – discoid lupus erythematosus . adjunct to systemic steroid therapy in generalised erythroderma . insect bite infections
DOSAGE OF BETADERM

Always use Betaderm exactly as the doctor told you. You should consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure – Use this medicine: You can usually use Betaderm once or twice a day and the number of times of use can be reduced according to the extent to which your skin improves – This medicine is used on the skin only – Do not use Betaderm on large areas of the body for a long time (such as every day for weeks or months) – unless the doctor tells you otherwise –
OVER-DOSAGE OF BETADERM
Acute overdosage is very unlikely to occur, however, in the case of chronic overdosage or misuse the features of hypercortisolism may occur .
treatment : in the event of overdose . betaderm should be withdrawn gradually by reducing the frequency of application , or by substituting a less potent corticosteroid because of the risk of glucocorticosteroid insufficiency
CONTRA-INDICATION OF BETADERM
hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients in the products . The following conditions should not be treated with betaderm : untreated cutaneous infections . – rosacea . Acne vulgaris . – pruritus without inflammation .
STORAGE OF BETADERM CREAM
store at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C .
carton box containing aluminum tube of 15 gm ointment and inner leaflet .
