Allear film coated tablets: Each tablet contains 5 mg Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride.

INDICATION OF ALLEAR 5MG 20TAB

Seasonal Allergic Rhinitis: Allear is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children 6 months of age and older.Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Allear is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 6 months of age and older. Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria : Allear is indicated for the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 months and older.

DOSAGE OF ALLEAR 5MG 20TAB

The recommended dose is : –

Not to be used for infant below 6 months: Children from 6 months to 5 years of age: The recommended initial dose of Allear oral solution is 1.25 mg (1/2 teaspoon oral solution) (2.5 ml) once daily. The 1.25 mg once daily dose should not exceeded base on comparable exposure to adults recieving 5 mg. Children from 6 to 11 years of age: The recommended dose of Allear is 2.5 mg (1/2 tablet or 1 teaspoon (5 ml) oral solution) once daily in the evening. The 2.5 mg dose should not be exceeded because the systemic exposure with 5 mg is approximately twice that of adults. Adult and children 12 years of age: The recommended initial dose of Allear is (one tablet 5 mg) or 10 ml oral solution) (2.5 ml) once daily. Some patients may be adequately controlled by 2.5 mg (1/2 tablet or 1 Teaspoon 5 ml oral solution ) one daily in the evening. Dose Adjustment for Renal and Hepatic impairment: In adults and children 12 years of age and older with: Mild renal impairment (creatinine clearance (CRCL) = 50-80 ml/min): a dose of 2.5 mg once daily is recommended. Moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance (CRCL) = 30-50 ml/min): a dose of 2.5 mg once every other day is recommended. Sever renal impairment (creatinine clearance (CRCL) 10-30 ml/min): a dose of 2.5 mg twice weekly (administered once every 3-4 days) is recommended. End-stage renal disease patients (creatinine clearance (CRCL) OVER-DOSAGE OF ALLEAR 5MG 20TAB

Over dosage has been reported with Allear. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness in adults and initially agitation and restlesseness, followed by drowsiness in children. There is no known specific antidote to Allear should overdose occurs, symptomatic or supportive treatment is recommended. Allear is not effectively removed by dialysis, and dialysis will be ineffective unless a dialyzable agent has been concomitantly ingested.

CONTRA-INDICATION OF ALLEAR 5MG 20TAB

The use of Allear is contraindicated in: Patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine or any of the ingredients of Allear, or to cetirizine. Observed reactions range from urticaria to anaphylaxis . Patients with end-stage renal disease (CLCR STORAGE OF ALLEAR 5MG 20TAB

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30° C in a dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
