An antifungal medication, also known as an antimycotic medication, is a pharmaceutical fungicide or fungistatic used to treat and prevent mycoses such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, and candidiasis (thrush), serious systemic infections such as cryptococcal meningitis, and others.
