It is a strong, fast-acting local anesthetic that penetrates well into tissues to numb an area of the body and help reduce pain. It works by blocking nerves from sending pain signals.

Relieves pain, burning, and itching associated with hemorrhoids, sunburn, and other mild skin problems when applied topically.

INDICATION OF LIDOCAINE 2% GEL

lidocaine can be used topically to give relief from local pain and or itching due to: mild burns and sunburns – insect bites – sore nipples and abrasions – pruritis ani and vulvae. – anal fissures and hemorrhoids. Proctoscopy and sigmoidoscopy. – stomatitis .- herpetic lesions .

DOSAGE OF LIDOCAINE 2% GEL

Follow all directions given to you by your pharmacist or doctor carefully.

apply a thin film to the affected area up to 3 to 4 times daily as needed .

Effective time:

Eye Gel: 5-30 minutes.

Warnings when taking lidocaine

During pregnancy:
There is no evidence of the dangers of topical preparations to the fetus, and when epidural medicine is given by birth, it can cross the placenta, so the fetal heart rate should be monitored continuously.

In general, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using it during pregnancy.

Hazard grade: B

Breast feeding:
The medicine passes into breast milk and may affect the baby. A doctor should be consulted.
Babies and Babies
It is not recommended for use under the age of two years, except on the advice of a doctor.
Elderly:

Lidocaine is used in the following cases:

What are the contraindications of Lidocaine H-C-L 1% Ampoule?
You should not take this medicine if you have:

Hypersensitivity to lidocaine injection or hypersensitivity to any of the components of this drug.
Stokes-Adams syndrome, which is a sudden slow heartbeat that causes weakness in your body.
congestive heart failure;
cardiogenic shock;
Intraventricular heart block.
Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is a sudden increase in the heart rate that causes fainting.
Acute heart block.

What is the dosage of Lidocaine H-C-L 1% Ampoule and how to use it?
The initial dose of anesthesia in adults depends on:

Depth of anesthesia required.
blood flow to the area
Duration required for anesthesia.
The patient’s health condition.

Dosage for adults and children over 12 years old

The appropriate dose for anesthesia, the maximum dose is 4.5 mg/kg.
The appropriate dose for the treatment of arrhythmias is the initial dose intravenously or intraosseous (injected into the bone) of 1 to 1.5 mg/kg.

How to use Ampoule

Lidocaine is given as an injection into a vein and this requires that it be given in a hospital or clinic setting.
While you are given the injection, your breathing, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other vital signs such as temperature will be monitored so that if the temperature rises more than normal, the drug is stopped to avoid malignant hyperthermia.
If you are treating your arrhythmia, you will be given intravenous lidocaine, and your heart rate will be constantly monitored with an electrocardiogram. This will help your doctor determine how long to treat you with lidocaine injection.
When used as a local anesthetic, lidocaine is injected directly through the skin to numb the body.
