What are the contraindications to the use of AVEROZOLID ?
It is forbidden to use the medicine without consulting a specialized doctor in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
Within 14 days of taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor.
What are the side effects ?
Side effects of the treatment:
headache.
dizziness;
Diarrhea.
nausea.
vomiting.
Serotonin syndrome.
Abdominal or stomach cramping.
AVEROZOLID Dose
Dosage of Syrup for adults:
One tablet (600 mg) twice daily (every 12 hours) for 10 to 14 days, according to the doctor’s instructions. Some cases may need to take the medicine for up to 28 days, depending on the infection being treated.
Dosage of syrup for children:
Verosulide for children 12 years of age or older: 400 or 600 mg every 12 hours.
ِِsyrup for infants and children under 12 years of age:
Dosage is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 10 mg per 1 kg of body weight every 8 or 12 hours, as determined by your doctor.
The medicine can be taken with or without food
The duration of treatment with this medicine may range from 10 to 28 days and the length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated
HOW TO USE
For best effect, take this antibiotic at equal times.
The entire prescribed dose must be completed.
Averozolid 600 and Corona
Some studies show that linezolid antibiotics are a good treatment for bacterial pneumonia in patients with COVID-19, and have been used in an intravenous dose of 600 mg every 12 hours for 7 to 10 days
Averozolid 600 for pregnant women and breastfeeding
There are limited data on the effect of using the drug in pregnant women, but animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus. Therefore, averozolid should not be used in pregnancy unless clearly necessary, ie only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Animal data indicate that the drug may pass into breast milk, and therefore, it is recommended that breastfeeding be discontinued during treatment with the drug

This medicine should not be used while taking any medicines known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, or moclobemide, or within two weeks after stopping these medicines.
This medicine should not be used with any of the following medicines:
serotonin reuptake inhibitor antidepressants and tricyclic antidepressants
Serotonin 5-HT 1 receptor agonists (such as triptans for migraine headaches)
Adrenergic bronchodilators and pseudoephedrine (a decongestant)
Medicines that narrow the blood vessels, such as adrenaline or norepinephrine
Dobutamine (a medicine used in heart failure)
Pethidine (a narcotic pain reliever) or buspirone (an anti-anxiety medicine)
